When Bill and Deborah Shumaker of Piedmont needed to replace their home comfort equipment 18 months ago, Bill was working in the United Arab Emirates. We normally talk to customers in person or by phone, but since this wasn't practical in this case, we communicated with Bill electronically.

"My wife and I would communicate on Fridays using SKYPE (which allows people to make inexpensive voice calls over the internet) Bill explains. "We arranged for a McCown engineer to come by the house on those days and discuss the work to be done.. I also communicated with McCown via email."
